Reading the Bass Clef – Lower Ledger Lines
This tutorial will show you how to read the lower ledger lines on the BASS Clef.
From bottom to top, the spaces on the bass clef read A C E G.
The phrase we will use to remember this is All Cows Eat Grass.
This same sentence can be used to memorize the ledger lines below the staff.
To find the name of a given note, just say each letter until you get to the line in question.
To find the name of a note on a space, name the line it rests on, then go down one letter in the alphabet.
